Solidarity Receives Medical Aid Donated by Carlos Slim Foundation via Farmamundi to Support Lebanon’s Health Sector

In a humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting the health system amid ongoing conditions, “Maan fi al Mihan – Solidarity” announced the arrival of a shipment of medical aid and essential pharmaceuticals donated by the Carlos Slim Foundation, prepared and dispatched in collaboration with the Spanish organization Farmamundi.
To ensure proper coordination and equitable distribution, Solidarity immediately handed over the complete shipment to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, the official authority tasked with allocating and distributing these medicines and medical supplies to high-need public hospitals and primary healthcare centers across all governorates.
The shipment contains critical medicines and supplies to address acute shortages in emergency departments, notably:
• Medicines & Treatments: Broad-spectrum antibiotics, anticoagulants, cardiovascular resuscitation medications, analgesics, and anesthetics.
• Supplies & Devices: Respiratory resuscitation equipment, intravenous catheters and infusion sets, surgical sutures, evacuation equipment, as well as blood glucose and pulse oximetry monitors.
This donation arrives at a critical juncture as the medical sector faces unprecedented challenges and severe shortages in essential treatments. The shipment serves as vital support to alleviate the burden on patients and bolster the resilience of healthcare institutions operating at full capacity.
In this context, Solidarity expressed its deepest gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Carlos Slim and the Carlos Slim Foundation for this generous humanitarian gesture and unwavering support. It also commended the efficiency and professionalism of the Farmamundi team in securing swift and safe transport.
